St. Petersburg, FL — The Global Directory of Who’s Who proudly recognizes Robert Wallace, MD, Founder and Medical Director of Love The Golden Rule, for more than four decades of service dedicated to compassionate, inclusive, and patient-centered healthcare. Inspired to establish Love The Golden Rule in 2014, Dr. Wallace built the organization on the belief that healthcare should be affirming, deeply personal, and accessible to all. A family practice physician with extensive specialty experience, he was among the earliest HIV physicians in the 1980s, and his lifelong commitment to treating Hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, and providing gender-affirming care is rooted in both professional dedication and personal loss. His mission remains focused on creating a safe, welcoming space where every patient feels seen, respected, and supported. Dr. Wallace earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1982, following a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University. He completed his residency at Bayfront Medical Center, where he began a career marked by innovation and advocacy in primary and specialty care. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Wallace founded a nonprofit clinic as a core component of his community service efforts and serves on the Board of Directors of BOLEY Centers, supporting housing initiatives for individuals experiencing homelessness, including those with mental health challenges and homeless veterans. A nationally respected leader in HIV medicine, Dr. Wallace was a founding member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine and maintains memberships with the American Academy of Family Physicians, the International AIDS Society, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). His contributions to equity and patient advocacy were recognized with The Voice for Equality Award in 2024. Outside of medicine, Dr. Wallace enjoys gardening and traveling, pursuits that reflect the same curiosity, care, and appreciation for life that define his enduring impact on healthcare and the communities he serves.
